Another Problem!! Getting Tired

Since I have done the following mods listed I have had nothing but problems with this truck. I have had to replace all u-joints front and back, wheel bearing, front driveshaft (Minion) and now my power steering pump siezed up from what I can tell and the belt blew off, but it's wierd all the liquid came out and I looked under the hood and the pulley and shaft come right out of the power steering housing. It seems these trucks don't take very well to mods?? Anyone else have these problems??

Thats odd. How many miles you got on it. I have had larger tires since mine was new. Put lift on at 35,000. I have 78,000 now with only having to replace 1 driveshaft u-joint. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Have you had your truck since it was new. Just thinking that maybe the previous owner abused it???

I only have 40,000 Miles and have owned it since new but it seems as if the problems have started since the lift was performed although U-joints don't concern me anyway there are minor, but this power steering thing is wierd anyone heard of this??

Not to say that all pre-fabbed lifts are like this (I had a 6" Fabtech on my H2), but there is a big difference in quality between a SkyJacker, or Kore, or Fabtech, and a custom done one for your truck like one from Thuren and the difference isn't really in price. That probably has more to do with your problems than anything. I would address the lift and then see what, if anything breaks on your truck. Just my .02

Heavier tires................ changed suspension geometry, its not surprising. Haven't really heard of PS issues.

I'm running 325/60/18's on 18x10's w/2" revtek leveling kit. Haven't changed the ps pump yet (45000 miles), but I cannot hardly turn my steering wheel when sitting still in a parking lot, either have to roll or give it gas to up the rpm's. Gonna assume this means the pump is on it's way out.
