My truck horn chirps each time I start my vehicle, or if I just turn the ignition to the run position. it is just a very quick chirp. Now if I leave the door open when starting or turning the ignition to the on position, no chirp.

does anyone know how I can turn this annoying /embarrising feature off ????

Why would you want to dis-arm it? It would make your insurance cheaper by having it

 

If it is aftermarket I would disconnect it, at least temporarily, to see if the problem disappears. Remote starts and alarms are pretty notorious for little glitches like that and many can probably be attributed to bad installation and splicing.
