I am running the Amsoil by-pass filter system. Are there any oil filters and soot filters that are made by fleet gaurd or napa (or any ithers) that can be used instead of the amsoil filters? Hate ordering filters all the time. Would like to get from the parts house in town.

 

I'd guess the threads are "special"/Amsoil only. I think Fleetguard makes a 5 micron bypass but you'd need their base. Just curious... how many miles can you run the Amsoils? Do you ever check differential pressure to see of they really need to be changed? I put 10k on my fullflows and delta-P only goes up 1-2 psi. Craig

 

Im hearing the by pass filter can be chnaged every other filter change or once per year or 25k, which ever comes first. i was just told a fleet gaurd LF9028 is a cross over oil filter. But nobody makes the by pass filter

I have done some research and it seems like you can run two wix or fleetgaurd highflow/bypass filter combo filters. They have the same flow rating as the amsoil by pass filter and oil filter. Same 1/16 thread also. On some oil forums people are running them together and getting good results. based off sample test being done to their oil. I may try this. Car quest as a cross reference to the wix and fleet gaurd, in stock.
