I think Suncoast offers it. It is around $10,000 for it though. You have two choices, build the auto( which will be more reliable than an Allison) or buy a new truck with the 6 speed auto in it.

two of the fastest dura-maxes in the country 1 runs high 9's & the other very close, both have converted to the dodge 48RE because the allison cannot hold power well past the 650 rwhp mark too weak & not strong enough ....

if your not going after big power i guess it sounds good, but you would be money ahead to get a proper build up on the dodge Auto trans , if your after more gears you could always also opt for the gear vendors options

destroked.com http://www.destroked.com/parts/adapter_plates.shtml has the adapters and the electronics to do it but like said above. WHY? I can see getting $10 grand into it before any labor for a built allison, converter, adapter plates, drive shafts, stand alone computer.

adapter plates $795
allison stand alone ecm - so pricy they don't even list a price but was told it is a $1000
driveshafts- $800 for the pair (roughly)
built allison with triple disc for $8000

or spend $6500 on a bad boy Georend and be done with it

You might want to consider a Ford torque shift transmission.

I read that Suncoast is also working on a conversion kit for the 68RE. Now that would be sweet! I really was impressed with the 68RE in the 08 truck I used to own. I'm not sure how much power it can hold though compared to the 48RE.....

550hp is bout all your gonna get out of the 68rfe.

Suncoast and PCS controllers have partnered to create a stand alone ECM to control the 48. I know Eric Brown has put a 48 behind the 6.7 and I have a buddy in Texas and we are getting ready to do his. That is how I am getting the G56. He is taking my 48re in trade for everything I need to convert mine to manual. 48 is proven to big numbers. Until the tranny builders come out with billet shafts and drums for the 68, people will be limited.

IMHO, Fords torq shift transmission is the dumbest acting transmission I have ever been around. The darn thing is never locked up if you are going up and down short hills because everytime you let off it unlocks. Although they may have changed that on the ones behind the 6.4

Better to build up the 48RE.......cheaper and better........mine cost about $6000.00 and will take about 850 HP.......some thing I'll never get to.
