Air dog on a 2003 Easy or Hard?
now I'm confused why would you have to drop the tank if the stock pump is mounted to the fuel filter on the engine???
Ok his is 03 missed that
I don't know what that means for him but the in tank pumps on the newer trucks the you have to remove the fuel pump from the basket and replace it with a hose which would have me lost. Or drill for a straw, or put a liberty canister in, I'm opting for the liberty route.

his install was on a 06 so that why he dropped the tank......he also plumbed his through the stock filter housing witch is not needed IMHO he told me he wanted the fuel heater...if your truck is a 03-04.5 and you buy a AD100 then you "May" be able to install the suction line and return line with out dropping the tank or removing/lifting the bed....
reach in from the rear fender....zip tie the small blue clip on the suction line...and wiggle the stock line off..then replace with a 1/2"AD line..and quick connector....I dont know if that will work or not..but the zip tie trick is the best trick I have seen to get those pesky connectors off...
Here's why the tank has to be dropped: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...2&postcount=14

If your lift pump is mounted on the engine and you are going to get the A/D 100, then make sure you explicitly ask for the fuel line quick connects for the factory fuel pick up located in the fuel tank. You will NOT have to drill a pick up hole. I drilled a hole in my tank because I have an intank fuel pump, your 03 should not, as long as one was not retrofitted in? Either way the tank has to come down or the bed has to come off, however you will only need enough room to couple the hoses to the pick up and return.
I ran it through the stock fuel filter housing simply because I recieved the older wiring harness which is not a plug and play for an 06, and I wanted the fuel heater and wif light. However it is not necessary to plum it that way, you can go directly to the cp3.
As stated, 53Willy's did an excellent write up with picks on the A/D 150.
I did the pics and install on the A/D 100, the pump/filters assemblies are an identical install, the difference is the A/D 150 has to have the 1/2 pick up to flow the 150 gph amount of fuel, the A/D 100 will flow using the factory 3/8 pick up.
I will be happy to help anyone with questions, all you have to do is ask.
So far I am very pleased with my A/D 100.
