I have the Banks as well...tried others, ended up here. No complaints. Banks in definitely quieter, so you won't here the turbo as much. I didn't mind. I also have a custom made air scoop run into the bottom and sits below the air dam. I am able to pull more cool air with the scoop and closed system. You will get good performance with either. A lot of others are running the AFE and have great results. Flip a coin IMO.....

i know the afe will flow massive amounts of air. if you plan on upgrading turbos later check and see how much air the banks will flow. i can run any turbo i want to with the afe stg 2 and never be concerned about starving it for air.

I don't really plan on bombing the truck to much. (guess I should of mentioned that before) An intake to start maybe a small programmer later. Nothing crazy 'cause I don't have the cash to do any trans mods. I just want a little safe reliable power and definately some mileage.

I have not looked at the filter element in the new banks but I have not seen any from banks that compare to the progaurd 7 yet

I have the Afe Prodry and I love it. Flows lots of air, easy to clean.

well here's the debate a used AFE Stage 2 w/ prodry filter and outerwear for $250 plus shipping or a brand new Banks Ram Air for $300 shipped. Unless someone here has something they want to get rid of...

Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up getting a good deal on a new AFE Mega Cannon and I'm loving it so far.

It was in the classifieds but it was sold. I'd go Banks over Volant, but like I said I ended up with AFE
