Yep that is the reason I run the PG7 now. I work on construction job sites and it's constantly filthy. I run the PG7 and a pre0filter to keep as much dirst out as possible. Granted I have never seen any dirt or oil in the filter tube or on the turbo and I do the "white glove test" whenever I check my filter.

I have run the Standard AFE filter and have seen average dirt ingestion in sometimes dusty conditions. (8ppm, Blackstone UOA)

I couldnt tell any differance when I intsalled my prodry S. The main reason I got one was so my truck wouldnt be down half a day when I had to clean my PG7.

IMO it is gonna be hard to filter FINE dust as well with the dry filters when compared to the oiled ones, but thats just my opinion.

I too run a prefilter.

And if IRC, the prodry does not have a lifetime warrentee, but I could be mistaken.

Thanks a lot for all comments.

Any idea where I can find the AFE Stage 2 with PG7 or Prodry online at a better price? Anyone here bought them online?

Check the classifieds here. There was one listed the other day.

I picked up a stage II Dry system on Ebay for 335 yesterday.

Auto anything has good prices and if you find it cheaper within a year they'll pay the differance... I got my exhaust from there, could have been happier...

I have an AFE Stage 2 that I run with a pre-filter. How often are you guys cleaning, replacing them? I probably have 50,000 on mine now and have just cleaned and replaced the pre-filter a couple of times. I am guessing im overdue for a cleaning or replacement. Thoughts?
