AFE Pro Dry S

I was looking at AFE's website and found an oiless dry filter called the Dry Pro S. Is there anyone out there running this filter? I am considering ordering one of these to put on my stage II intake. I like the proguard 7, but would like to go with a dry filter if it will provide the same quality of filtration. Any info. is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I saw the press release and have looked at the afe web site. The application list does not show a part number for 03-06 Stage II replacement filter, just Stage I part numbers. It also does not show the price or at least I could not find it.

I would be interested in one, but I have to see one first.

After seeing the info. on AFE's website, I emailed them as I too did not see a part# for an 03-06 Stage II replacement filter. A customer service rep. from AFE emailed me back and the part number he gave me was 21-90021. I have not been able to locate a dealer that sells the replacement filter by itself yet.

If it filters and flows as good at the PG7 I would buy one next time I had to clean and oil my PG7.

Michael at AFE emailed me back and said that you can contact any AFE dealer and order the Pro Dry S filter. You are correct the replacement dry filter part number for the AFE stage 2 pro guard 7 is 21-90021 and the MSRP is $75.31. I am going to try and order one this evening!

When i installed my Afe stage II pro gaurd 7 on it did not seem like the filter was oiled or if it was not very much. Ive bought new K&N's before and they had a bunch if oil on them. I didn't think the pro gaurd 7 was an oiled filter, do I need to be concerned.

If an oiled filter has a bunch of oil on it, then it was oiled improperly. The PG7 is oiled correctly from the factory (very lightly). Don't be concerned if you don't feel oil on the outside of the filter, that just means that it was done the right way.

I'm still trying! I have called most of the online retailers on the AFE site and no one is willing to get it for me? I emailed michael again to see if he can get one of them to break loose since AFE doesn't sell to the general public (maybe they should). If I get it I will let everyone know. Dave

I just ordered my intake from DTR today and Lary tried to get me the Pro Dry S. He couldn't find it. I'll buy one when my Pro Guard needs cleaned and I'll just replace it.
