Aeroturbine, like it

I installed an Aeroturbine on my 600 and like it. Bought it from Diesel Power Products (good place to buy, try him) along with some tubing etc to stab it in there. Took a couple hours and sure sounds better than it did with the stocker. The truck has an Airaid and MIT and the Aeroturbine otherwise stock. Sounds good, seems to be more responsive to throttle changes. Not sure about the mileage yet, have not checked but am not all that happy with the mileage anyway, hope this helps.

Where did you put the AeroTurbine in relation to the stock muffler placement? Did you put it where the stocker was, or farther forward? Are you running it by itself, or in conjunction with another muffler? I am looking to do the same thing to my truck in regards to AeroTurbine, Airaid and MIT sometime down the road.

Aeroturbine placement

I've got one,...and like it. I put it as far forward as possible as that is the instructions for placement from the manufacturer. It was too loud for my taste by itself so I'm running a 26" Donaldson. I never dynoed before so there is no way I could tell you of performance benefit,...however sotp feel seems to be a bit more responsive and the combined sound is right when pulling heavy.

I did the same thing, as far forward as possible. Right behind the cat. I left 3.25" of tubing after the cat and put it right there. It took approx 22" of straight pipe plus a piece with a slight offset to mate it to the tailpipe.
It is just a little bit loud but quite nice to my ears . I put on three hangers (I've read about exhaust "drone" and wanted to dampen all that exhaust tubing) in stock locations (one factory one along the frame rail that runs very close to the exhaust was not needed)
I don't have any type of tip on the exhaust either. No drone what so ever. Smooth, not raspy just a good tone. I can hear the turbo whine more now too (when pushing down the go pedal, at cruise no diff on turbo whine)
My kids like the sound and so far so does my wife. We put a 40 series on her Suburban and this truck is definately much quieter. I can crawl under the truck and take some pics if you want me to, just let me know and I'll post them on my pictures page for you.
