I just installed the aeroturbine 4040L after the cat on my 05 cummins. It sounds real nice but I would like to hear a little more of the turbo. Would removing the cat do this? and what difference in sound should I expect? Have any of you done this?

 

Put in an AFE Stage 2 Air Intake and you will hear all of that turbo you will ever want.


Removing the cat will probably make the exhaust a little louder and lower EGTS some.

 

I plan on putting on a afe stage 2 in the future, but for now my goal is to hear the turbo through the exhaust. I just cant decide wether or not i want to take the turbo off.

 

I think you meant "take the cat off" ???
