Adjusting FASS Pressure....revised....
Adjusting FASS Pressure....revised....
OK.....for you 3rd gen guys looking to Mod your CP3 here is some info you might find interesting.
Adjusting pressure on the FASS.
The 95 GPH unit. This units move less volume so it can push more pressure before the motor amps get too high. SO we adjust the pressure relief in the T-block to ~45 PSI. SO this means that you can increase the spring pressure in the base to get up to say 40ish...just make sure you are still by passing to the tank or air lock will occur.
The 150 GPH unit. This unit moves volume so the drag on the Gerotor is more. Thus you can only run soo much pressure before you exceed the motors ideal amperage. This is at 22-23 PSI on the 150 GPH. This is preset in the T-Block to about 23 PSI. Most are about this level already...but we are going to lower it i think.
SO if you want higher pressure, try the 95GPH unit and bump it up to 40ish. GPH should be around 50-60 GPH at that pressure. This might be about right...but may be lean......we really haven’t see the fuel requirements of the newer CP3 mods yet!!
The best choice for high pressure is the New EM-1002....this make the 95 and 150 GPH units into a 110 and 200 GPH Respectively due to the higher RPM of the motor. But these motor can run at 130 PSI all day long set up correctly......

Thanks for that info Dan. I have a question for you concerning the gauge port on my Fass serial#4154 95gph. Does this port read pre or post filter pressure? This is great to have here standing by the outstanding products
