Actual / Mounted tire height....esp Toyo

Hey guys - I have searched what seems like every forum and cannot find the answers I am looking for. Checking to see what your tires measured up to after mounted on the truck. Looking primarily at Toyo OC MT 35's and 285/75 17. My Bighorns spec'd at 34.1 x 12.2 but turned out to be 32.5 x 12......

All help would be appreciated
Thanks

well a good bit of that depends on your psi in your tires. i run 35's unloaded at about 50 psi and find there more of a 33.5- 34 in tire. im sure if you bumped up the psi then youl get a closer height. try that and c watcha get

Thanks Luke - I went ahead and ordered the 35's and 285's today. Tire guy said if the 35 didnt fit then he can send them back no charge and I will put on the 285/75. If 35's fit with my H2's and no lift then I will post pics so maybe it will show up in search if someone else is looking like I have been

No rubbing here with the 35's on stock wheels.

im running firestone 315/70/17 and they only rub at full lock if there is any load on the suspension i.e. bumps or going in a driveway. but im thinkin since i have a leveling kit then it must b the back spacing on my rims. anyway hope it works out 4 ya
OH and by the way id like to know more about your homemade whistler. I took the "x" baffels outa my intake and that helped sum, but i wouldnt mind a bit more. thanx

luke - its basically take everything off from turbo to airbox and replace with the filter. i didnt attach the indicator. had it for 3 years and works great.....especially with the silencer ring gone. i just take the filter off and clean it with air compressor every now and then.

Then you don't have 35" tires or have a leveling kit. It takes a leveling kit to run 35's with no rubbing.

I guess there is a very slim chance that Toyo incorrectly labeled my tires or that my truck came brand new from the factory with a leveling kit already installed?

I was also a non beleiver and had already planned on a leveling kit when I decided to mount the the Toyo M/T's on my stock wheels and give it a try. Low and behold I do not need to lay out the money for a Carli kit because they do not rub and I am extremely happy with the stance without the leveling kit.

I'm running 315/70/R17's BFG's on H2 wheels with no rubbing at all. When I had 35x12.50s on the stock wheels, I would get some minimal rubbing at full turn on the lower control arms. You'll be fine w/ 35's and those H2's.

Most tire mfgr's give you rev/mile. Use that to determine rolling diameter and split the difference in total height and rolling diameter and that should be close to your static height.
