I tow around 20k pretty regularly and was wondering if anyone here has towed with the A3k. Any issues? How were your egt's?

Also, Im curious if you can upgrade it to a twin setup. Really getting the itch for a new turbo.

 

if i could add on just a little to your thread, I'm curious about the above as well, plus how the A3K compares to the II Silver 62? i'll be in the market for a turbo soon and looking at these two options also for towing and lower EGT's, and reasonable (daily driver) spool-up.

 

Omaharam has a A3K and I have seen it put down some good numbers. You might pm him or maybe he will see this and respond.

 

Well I don't tow anything close to that weight, so I'm not sure my info is valid for you. The heaviest I've been is probably about 9k. For me it works well. I can only compare it to stock. i have never been in a truck with a 62. It is not as responsive as the stocker for sure, but it's not bad. As far as cooling, it's a huge improvemnet over stock but it depends how much you are fueling too. I can still hit high egts if I turn things way up, but I can tow with at least an additional 100hp over stock with no issues at all on egts.
