90s or 120s with a Single.

hey guys..

Well I have been thinking a lot lately on which route i want to take. Right now i have 120hp nozzles (not installed yet) and i have been tossing up the idea of maybe going with some 90s.
First reason is of course $$$. now! with that said, i figured i could trade these 120s for some 90s. Upgrade my cp3 with the Arson III kit and run a 64? (not sure which one).
Now if i kept my 120s i would run a larger pump.. ie. II 85% or 120% cp3.. and a 66.

What do you guys think? and im sure someone is going to ask... "what are your goals for the truck yada yada.."

Well i wanted a 700hp daily driver. i dont tow. i like to race, and maybe some day dyno when i move back down to Texas.

Im just wondering which turbo would be good for each application. 90s-64/xx/xx and 120s- 66/xx/xx.

Thanks,

Nolan.

I'm running a htt 64/65/14 with 90's and the arson III. it runs great empty but can get a little toasty while towing, I'm at 6000 ft though too. I think if I was not going to be doing any pulling just playing I'd go with the 120's and a 66.

First, when you say 120's... 120 from whom? All 120's are not created equal... DDP 120 can be someone elses 150... the nomenclature gets messy.

120's and an a5000. 90's can get you to 700 if everything is just right. The aurora 5000 is a better single than the 66 for what you are describing for your goal.

If you want an II pump, ask them which one to support the sticks you get. The 85% will do 90's. For 120's I went to dual pumps and said the heck with it.

I dont do much towing if at all.. Im just building for a fun daily driver and a drag/dyno truck.. lookin for a good mid 12 truck. Really just looking for the good turbos to match the nozzle sizes.

i have used 120's from ddp that have been gone through recently without any use since for sale. i went with smaller custom ones from ddp due to my twin setup for towing.

let me know if you are interested, via pm.

cheers

66, stg 3 or 3.5 cp3 or duals, and 120's, do it once and be done, trust me i know. It's cheaper to go big the first time then to start off small then go big.
