There is somebody on this forum with a black truck with a 2" spacer stacked with a 6" spring up front....maybe you could pm him to see his "hands on" opinion. It was used for a Thule photoshoot and at the Sema's....if I remeber correctly. He is running 500+ hp through his set up as well.

That black truck is me. I really have not had any problems. I had to lengthen my Panhard bar and make sure the controls arms were lengthened right as well. All in all in worked out pretty good. I did use a bigger block in the back so that it did not sag with all the extra weight over the rear end.

6" Lift

Toyo all the way!! I will never spend a dime on pro comp's again. I barely got 23,000 out of the set that I had. But I had the mud-terrain's. Just my two cents!! 37's will fit wonderfully! I just lifted my truck and put 37 x 13.50 x 20 toyo's and I had a little bit of rubbing on the air dam so we took that off and now it is wonderful. I love the truck. I looks like a matchbox truck you buy for your kids. The truck is small and then the rims and tires are huge. I am going to try and post pic's this weekend.

ive been running a 2" spacer on top of a 6" superlift for about two months. ditto to what every one else said about angles. everyone keeps talking about drive line vibes and yet with this combo i have NONE! stock driveshaft and all, i did install a transfer drop bracket though.

And that is a problem?? I have 8" and 38" tires and I've put my truck in 4wheel one time...........I don't see anything wrong with that!! I bought my truck to have something nice and to make it look good......not take it out and wheel the crap out of it. IMO if you want to wheel something, buy a freakin Jeep and not a diesel.

People can call my truck a pavement queen all they want........I appreciate my truck and like to keep it nice.

Don't mean to come off sounding like a jerk, but some people have different ideas with what to do with their trucks, some abuse them and some don't!

Anyone else had experience with this i am very interested in doing this to my truck as well. I am wanting to run a superlift or revtek 6 inch lift with a set of mickey thompson mtz 36x15.5-18 on a 18x10 rim with -25mm offset and 4.5 inch backspacing and am afraid that setup will rub. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Rub...rub bad! The offset, tire width, and rim width are wayyyyyy of. With any suspension compression...they will hit.

I guess I'll add my .02,
6" should do fine (depending on rims specs), if you want to spend the extra money to get everything staight, then go ahead with the spacers, if you're happy like it is, then don't.
Personally, I'm not very fond of spacers or body lift, but some people like 'em.

Tires-
I am running a set of Pro-Comps, b/c I got a heck of a deal on them, they do ok off road, and ok on the highway. However, I have no experience with Toyo's (too much $$$).

As for the truck use argument, just let it die, nobody will ever convince anyone else that they are right. I spent the extra money on my truck so I could do whatever I want with it, not just ride around and look pretty, but if I'm doing something really dumb, I use my Nissan, and have the Dodge close by with the winch.

i Have a 6inch lift (superlift springs) and the rest is tuff country. i get a small rub when i am turned 40% and hit a good bump. i have a 11 wide wheel. i will be putting in a 1inch daystar poly spacers in the front as soon as i get some time. this will put the truck level. also running kuhmo M/T and they rock. hardly any noise and do awesome for traction. you wont have any driveline problems with the 2 inch spacer if that is what you want to do, but you will be slightly high in the front. Make sure you get an indexing ring or drop bracket. if you were to go that route you may want to do an add a leaf in the rear and get rid of a couple of dead leafs. the extra space will in no way look ridiculus, it will look great!!!

assuming that you use the trackbar drop bracket for the 6" lift, you should be able to get away with 2 more inches. if you have the spare cash i would opt for an adjustable. the control arms are good for another 2.

I love my procomp xta's can't say enough good. As far as the spacers go a friend had his 6" springs stretched to 8" I don't know if the shop doing the work sucked but, when I was getting my body lift on he was getting new 6 inch spring because they could never make the 8"rs work even after a new track bar, longer control arms and all that hoopla. Good luck I think they look sick with 37's keep the drive line you may need to pull a ford out!
