is 50% on mp-8 safe?

Ok so I might be trying an mp-8 to see how it compares to my xzt for adding pressure. I know that the mp-8 can add more pressure and thus more power, but I also know it's not safe to turn to 100%. I just ordered a GDP lift pump system and am doing a cp-3 in two weeks (and dynoing at the same time - finally) and so I can't really afford $300 for a rail pressure gauge. I would still like to test the mp-8 against the xzt on the dyno, but not sure how high I can turn it up safely. After searching posts, it APPEARS that up to 50% is safe.
Any input?

In CP3 do you mean a aftermarket CP3?
If so you shouldn't need a pressure box with a modified CP3. Running both together will damage the injectors.

Haven't heard that. When I talked to John at Floor-it, I told him exactly what I had for mods and he didn't say anything about using a modded cp-3 and pressure box together being a problem. Doesn't the modded cp-3 simply allow you to hold a certain pressure instead of it dropping off like the stock cp-3 would? I hadn't read that a modded cp-3 alone raised rail pressure all on its own.

That is true, Pressure box + modded CP3 = breaking the inturnals in the injectors. If you are going to get a modded CP3 don't use a pressure box.

So the flux2s can handle it, cuz you have a cp-3 and mp-8 listed in your sig.

The tips can handle it, but the inside parts can't I broke 2 of them!!! I don't run the MP8 anymore.
I'm going to put the MP8 back on when I take my II stage 2 CP3 off and sell it. I'm going to build another truck and detune my 05 so the pump and Flux2s are coming off and being sold.
