the flow would probably rob more than 5hp, and the turbo would spool up slower, so your power CURVE would be compromised as well...

your truck, your money...

but if you're going to drop $75-100 on a muffler, why not buy one that optimizes performance instead of hurts it?

for that matter, why don't you sack up and straight pipe it?!?

I'm not going to buy a Flowmaster, and I never was... It's just a household name for any chambered muffler. If you'll notice in my original post, I merely used a Flowmaster as an example. I was just digging for suggestions or ideas. If you'll read my sig, I already have a full 5" kit with a straight through muffler... It is as loud as any straight piped truck I've heard, I was just looking for a "different" sound...

I saw your sig... my buddy also has a 5" kit w/ a straight through muffler... it's LOUD, but my 5" straight pipe would drown his out big time!

If anyone still wants to know about mufflers here is my experience. I first put a Walker muffler on my truck when I was running a single turbo. It truly had a "custom" sound that was more performance like than just loud. When I put the twins on the exhaust lost it's sound and thats why I changed to a straight pipe to try to gain some exhaust sound. I gained some sound but more I noticed better spool up of the twins. Overall I was happy with the straight pipe. I still have that Walker muffler somewhere if your interested. The only thing is that its off a 4" exhaust.
