5" Flowmaster???

I was thinking of getting a "custom" sound out of my truck, as I have the 5" exhaust with muffler from City Muffler & Performance. Right now it sounds just like any other Dodge with a straight pipe only it's a little quieter... I was thinking of installing a 5" Flowmaster One chamber muffler in place of the "Glass Pack" that came with the kit. Has anybody tried any racing mufflers such as this? Most of the "racing" muffler companies make a 5" or at least a 4" muffler... I'm just curious as to what it would sound like

A friend had a 5" Flowmaster on his PSD with an edge box on it.....The egts would get to 1500 faster and stay there longer and take longer to cool down b4 shut down.

the juice isnt worth the squeeze so to speak.

and it didnt sound that diferent then his straight pipe 5" just a less noise.

Chambered mufflers are not for diesels.

agreed... don't put a Flowmaster on your truck!!!

try a 5" Dynomax Race Magnum bullet... or, if you're feelin' froggy, just run it straight pipe! that's how I ran mine. took a lot of sound deadener to get it quiet inside! LOL!

It sounds "real" custom with a 5" straight pipe

Well I'm trying to get rid of the cab drone. It sounds like a 747 is taking off in the back seat while towing anything right now. I'm going to try a longer tip to get the exhaust out past the body and then maybe straight pipe it. I had a 5" straight kit on my 02 ETH and it sounded awesome, LOUD, but awesome...

flowmaster mufflers work awesome, egts are the same with the series 30 race muffler as the piecs of crap magnaflow and sounds nice and throaty not like a rice rocket with the magnaflow, no drone, awesone in cab bark and no issues with egts, muffler worth weight in gold. its funny someone said that chambered mufflers arent for diesels but probabaly 70% of them are running cats now, go figure>>>>>>>>>>>
