I have the MBRP replacement muffler on my stock 4" system. I tried removing the cat but the highway drone was awfull. My question is this, does the 5" turbo back system have the drone without the cat? My state does not require the cat on my truck so losing it is not a problem. How different is the 5" sound? And which muffler if any should I go with?

 

Try a 40'' (Cant remember the # but I run it)Nelson muffler from Fleetpride. About 60 bucks and no drone!

 

No Cat and 5" and terrible drone. I'm looking at putting in a resonator to see if it will help.

 

5 is too big on stock slighly modded truck anyway.Lots of threads on DRONE.

 

Thanks guys. I think I will stick with the 4" I already have. Ya'll told me excactly what I already figured. Just hoping to make it louder without the drone. There has to be a way. Maybe I'll just re-loss the cat and deal with it untill something better comes along.
