48 re trans upgrades need help

I am new to the 3rd gen scene and I just bought an 03 and want to put a shift kit in and a torque converter. the truck will be my daily driver and i will do some towing on the side. i dont want huge power but better than stock maybe 400,450 horse would be great, i have been looking on here for a while and havent exactly found what ive been looking for. I have a few questions for the wise.
Upgrades i have...
4 inch exhaust
****** whistler

upgrades i want to do....
smarty
goerend torque converter
transgo shift kit
Questions...
1. If i get a torque converter from goerend which one should i get? Will a tighter converter raise trans temps? and can i run ams oil atf in it if i get it?

2. Trans go shift kit worth it? i dont want to buy a vavle body because i know they are the same as a shift kit for 4 times the price.

3. Is there any other things i would need tranny wise to get the thing to 400 horse and not have to worry about it? accumulators, servos anything?

4. Should i get a first gear servo with the non leak o ring? if so how to install?

5. with the smarty i can adjust line pressure correct?

Thanks anyone for your help i will be doing the work myself just need a little guidance on what works and what doesn't.
