How much more hp and torque can the 47re trans take until it starts to slip. What would be some good trans up grade to do to that trans. I am planning to put an edge juice in my truck. I would like to use level 5 on the edge juice with out slipping.

 

The torque convertor on my stock 47RE started slipping with just the addition of an Edge EZ (198 hp stock->227 hp with the EZ). Upgrading the torque converter and a valve body capable of raising line pressures will be in order at least.

I could slip the old stock tranny at STOCK power. Can't slip the new one.
