4" pipe

i can get a 4" piece of pipe to go in my mufflers place for about 30 bucks. the only prob is is that he said that size pipe cant be swelled to go over the existing pipe. what should i do? any help would be appreciated.

It can be swelled, just not by him apparently.

Not sure if this is the same thing as swelling, but I bought 2 couplers along with my pipe when I took the muffler out. Any big rig shop should have these.

thats exactly what you need... those and the stainless steel band clamps will do the trick! If it were me, I would weld the couplers to the new pipe, that way you will only need 2 band clamps

the local shop said that he can get the pipe only in a 10' section and it would cost total about 75$ which isnt horribly bad because it might cost about the same to get my own pipe and take it to him. what do yall think?

hes ripping you off. pipe should be like $4 per foot... brb Ill get you a PN for the pre bent pipe you will need.

go to a mack or international dealer and give them this P/N:

NE 5839-924027A

It should be a 4" pre bent pipe with the correct offset you will need.
