With mine, I welded mine up underneath and left about 1/4'' un-welded for drainage. Some soot does get on the truck, but not much. None inside even with the windows down.

I bought my system in pieces, where ever I could get the best price. Like the stacks alone got through chrome room (raw form- hate chrome) and the 90's through vulcan. The splitter through the web for $50 (new).

IMO all stack setups should have a flex pipe to absorb motion. In this case, the flex pipe will allow enough to seep out. Problem is water hits the soot in the pipe, when you start it it comes out thick. So I can understand having caps. I went to Tractor supply and bought 2 stainless pails to put over mine. Don't really do it much anymore, the soot is inevitable.

On my set up, I used rubber hangers for motion absorb. instead of the flex which hasn't given me any problems so far.

I posted mine earlier in this thread, but I had to move the video. Rain cap works and almost never have any soot.

oh yeah, almost forgot . .

it is a NICE exhaust that Chris put on his truck, really nice. I saw it the other night, almost didn't recognize the bucket, no smoke rolling off the top of the cab, not loud anymore either, you can actually stand beside it and hear a conversation . . .

Chris don't worry. I hate to say i think i will be joining you and get a 5" kit. Love the sound. Hate the soot. And I have a guy around here copying me. 2wd with wide wheels and tires, and 6" mitres. Not to mention I have started a trend around here, seeing stacked trucks everyday. lol Its time to go another route. I imagine once the stacks are gone I will have a chance to get acquainted with my turbo better. lmao
