lol....I like your reasoning!! It makes me smile! Much of the same reason I bought a 2500. The most I tow is a 4 wheeler trailer and my hemi did that fine but I just wanted a cummins and I figure when you work your a$$ off that you deserve some toys. Best of luck and please post pics once you get it done for us! Rock on

38" x 13.5" clears the leaf pack with OEM backspacing.

Personally I wouldn't run a 13.5" wide tire on a 6" wide rim, I don't think it would be safe, but even if it did work you'd have to run a low air pressure to get a decent contact patch on the tire. According to Toyo, minimum approved rim width on those tires is 8.5". If someone's personal experience on here is different than mine and worked out ok then defer to their knowledge because I have never actually tried it.

On my Bronco I've run 35x12.5" tires on 8" wide rims, and a 12.5" on 7.5" wide as a spare. but I am presently happier with the profile of a 12.5" wide tire on a 9" wide rim.

The reason for owning a dually is to haul and your tailgate is going to be so high off the ground and your trailer hitch so high off the ground its going to make it hard to work. I have a 5 1/4 inch drop hitch on my 2500 with a 4 inch lift and 35`s and its still not enough for a normal trailer to sit level

But of course it`s your truck and your money so good luck!
Yeah, I've given it a lot of thought. I've already dropped my towing capacity quite a bit by running the 315's and spacers. However, I never tow really heavy. My truck is more of an advertisement for my business. I figure an 8" lift and 37's will help... And you're right about the trailer. As soon as I finish the lift, I'm going to rebuild the tongue on the gooseneck and make it 6" taller! What a pain in the A$$...... Anyway, I usually just haul steel on my trailer or a broken-down car or truck lol so it's not a big deal.

By the way, I ended up getting a great deal on some 37x12.50s, so I know those will fit. Thanks for the input.
