37" Tires

Just to try something new, I'm thinking of getting rid of my current wheels & tires (20x10" wheels with 35x13" Tires) and going with one of the following:

1) 37x13.50x17 Procomp Xterrain
2) 37x12.50x17 BFG Mud Terrain
3) 37x12.50x17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R

The tires would be mounted on 17x10" Weld Stonecrushers.

My current tires are a little over 35" in height and about 12.9" in width and I have a 6" lift.

Does anyone have a 6" lift with 37" tires and if so, any rubbing issues? Also, does anyone have any experience with the Xterrain or Wrangler MT/R tire?

Much better choice... IMHO.

If the offset is correct, you should not have any issues. You might have the best luck with a slightley narrower rim, but if you don't offroad that much it won't matter.

I would lean towards the BFG MT, GY MTR, or PC MTR and stay away from the X-terrian. They are for lighter rigs.

From what I understand, they beefed up the 37" and larger Xterrain tires, but I'm not that familiar with them so I could be wrong.

I have 37's. it will rub a hair on the plastic valance on the bumper but knowhere else.

if you go with 10" watch you backspacing because the tires will stick out no mater what. I ahve 22x9.5 and they are boarder line another half inch and I would probaly have to run flares.

I wanted the to run the toyo mud terains so I had to go at leat 20" rims. I ended up with 22's because they were $100 a piece cheaper for some wierd reason.

I think the mud terains are the best tire on the market right now overall. ride, function, and wear.

Wasn't your truck up on ebay this morning? The monitors in the head rests caught my eye. Are you putting new tires on it, or selling it?

Good looking truck. What width are those tires?

MSchoenheider

I had it on eBay, but the auction ended last week (it ended a couple thousand under my reserve). I'm still selling the truck, but thought in the meantime I'd sell my current wheels & tires and try some new ones

I have a buddy with the 6" superlift and 37x13.5 pro comps and he loves them, granted it's a hemi. He doesn't tow much and loves them on the street or in the mud. Also of note, he beats the hell out of his truck and as far as I know has never rubbed.

I too am going to take the 37" plunge... 37/12.50/17 SuperSwamper Radial SSR's 10 ply. Probably gonna go with the MT Baja classics 10" wide. Skyjacker 6.5' lift - anyone got one of these? Good, bad??? Making my own bumpers so rubbung won't happen. We'll see how well plowing pays this year, supposed to be a heavy one - more snow = more truck stuff .

I'll be getting rid of my wheels & tires when I work a deal with someone. If you want some more info or want to discuss a price, feel free to email me.
