3 inch lift spacers

I'm considering getting some 3 inch spacers from topguncustomz (until I can afford a KORE setup).

1. Would I need a new track bar bracket to go with these spacers?

2. Can I get away with the stock shocks for a bit with 3 inch spacers (I know I can with a 2 inch spacer...not sure about the 3s though)?

3. Is 3 inches too much in front with nothing done to the rear (will the front be higher than the rear)?

Thanks for any help.

I just put a 4" in the front and it was even with the back on my 06 3500, I don't think you can keep your shocks but could be wrong.

1. No
2. No, too short.
3. No, but the front might sit a little higher than the rear.

No I don't have any pics of it yet. As for shocks everyone on this site says Bilstein but I say Donahue Racing.

Does Donahoe have a shock spec'd for the 3500 4x4's?

Does Thuren or Carli or Lorenz make a leveling kit similar to what KORE sells? Something with a 3" coil and shocks valved to match? I'd like to level my truck but don't care for spacers.

No.

Yes, for a bit... at least that is what I still have on my truck. I won't be seeing any offroad between now and when I have the $ for the King's. It drives fine, though any speedbumps are pretty rough FYI.

I put 2" blocks in the rear, but you only need 1". My rear is still a fair amount higher than the front. As Cowhand said, you could probably get away with nothing if you don't mind the front being a touch higher.

By the way Cowhand... got off the phone with Don Thuren today; I think my front end may closely resemble yours by the end of the summer.

~I'm sure Sean would set up a leveling kit for you. Or get a hold of ThruenFabrication

How close? I'm digging deeper again....more goodies for the front. Budget another $1K or so and it'll be even closer

Are you looking at the radius arms?

I got the blocks and new U-Bolts from www.jackit.com . Take an afternoon and coat them with a strong, rust proof paint. First rainfall, and mine were nice and brown . They'll be gone by this winter however

Cowhand -
Yep, Don said he's gonna be putting the prototype on a truck soon, and should be done and ready when I return in late July. So.... if I can get the pocketbook to work it out: I'll be putting Thuren's Trackbar, Steering Arms and Radius Arms on in August along with 4" coils from Don. I think I'll be going with the Bilsteins however if I do all that. I think overall, I'll be much better off with these things, and get the racing shocks some day when I may actually decide to be racing .

What about new shocks with 1" blocks on the rear? Are new shocks necessary for that?

Thanks for your replies...I'm trying to piece something together until I can afford something better.

I don't think you'll have to worry about shocks in the rear with 1" blocks. Anyone know where I can find some 3" wide, 1" or 1.5" blocks for a good price? All of the "short" blocks I have found here only 2.5" wide.
