Which 3 Gauges......
Hello All,
New to diesel and was wondering what 3 gauges would you purchase in order of importance. Do you guys like the pillar installation or over the mirror installation. If using over the mirror, how are the gauge wires routed?
Also, does anybody know where I can get these gauges installed in the Melbourne, FL, area.
Thanks for the help guys
I would be installing these gauges in a 06 2500 Quad CTD, auto, 3.73

I would go with pyro, boost, and trans temp. I have the pillar mount and like it a lot. The only problem with haveing it on the pillar is the ricers want to race you and you have to get used to it.
I say get all 4. Pyro, Fuel, Boost, Tranny.
I just recently got the SRT 10 Single Pod A-Pillar to move my boost from the center cubby bin. Then I am adding a new fuel pressure gauge to the cubby alongside the pyro and tranny gauges. I wish I had got the FP to begin with.
From all the talk on this forum about problems with fuel supply to the CP3, I would think that the FP is as important (maybe more so) as any other gauges now. That used to not be the case.
I am not sure if the 06's have the same cubby bin like the previous 3rd gens, though. If not, you could get a triple A-pilar and mount a gauge on the steering column.

Why settle for 2 or 3 or 4? These are here, you just have to get on the list!

Yes there is a mount that comes with it. On a 2006 you can mount it right beside the A-pillar. The 2006 dash falls off on the left side before the A-pillare and it fits in there really good without any obstructions.
You can also put it below your radio or in a lof different spots, it is pretty versatile.
Also we are working with a manufacture that is building an a-pillar mount for it.

We like the look of standard gauges and also suggest looking into adding all 4 gauges to make your installation and monitoring complete.
Plus with standard gauges if a gauge stops working properly you only have to replace the one gauge. If you get an all in one monitor and it stops working you lose the whole thing.

Great suggestions...thanks guys.
When order the FP gauge, do I purchase the 0-30psi or higher? What about the boost, 0-35lbs enough? Will be planning on getting a Quad standard in the future.
Thanks,
TJ

If you plan on adding one of our boxes or any box later you should really look at the monitor as it will also defuel on any of the monitored parameters except RPM.
You can de-fuel on Rail pressure, fuel pressure egt, boost, tranny etc.
It will also data log the info as well as recall all of the min/max info.
Not to mention it is typically cheaper than 4 analog gauges.
Analog gauges work well, but now that there is an all-in-one solution that monitors real parameters that matter it is something you should look at.
You can buy one now, but it will be a little bit before you get it!
Our dealers should start having info up on their website over the next few days. You should be able to buy them from almost everywhere. I will pm you some details that will be on our web page soon.
