2004.5-2005 Edge J/A onto a 2006?

Is there a way to get a 2004.5-2005 Edge Juice with attitude to work on a 2006? Found a good deal on one but my truck is a 2006.

Thanks!

Call edge. They have good customer service (or did for me). Get the info (S/N and P/N from the one you want to buy... they may be able to update it for a small charge.

When I bought my truck used, it came with a "Edge" installed. Under heavy (!2,000 lbs.) towing conditions the EGT's were way too hot. I replaced it with a Smarty Jr. and never regretted it. The Smarty Jr. reduced my EGT's over 200 degrees from stock, while towing. Just my two cents.

If you check my sig you'll see I've been running Edge for awhile.

What setting did you have it and the Smarty on? Are we comparing apples to apples here? I've had the Edge J/A and my last two trucks, towing 12K and 18K. The more weight you tow the lower the setting you can run. The last truck I had I ran it stacked with a Smarty JR. The Smarty gave better low end power than the Edge(good for towing) but the Edge gave more power up top.

Each has their benefits but I like the edge for its gauge package and backdown feature. Don't feel comfortable running the Smarty on #3 till I get the Edge on so I can monitor EGTs.

I really don't remember the setting of my Edge/juice (it was the setting recommended for towing), since I sold it in early 2009. I too liked the gauge package and back down feature. I bought Autometer gauges when I sold the Edge. My Smarty Jr. 5.14b settings are, SW-1, TM-2, TQ-4 and 99% POD. I realize that these are relatively mild settings because I still have a near stock 48re.

I ran into this problem on a 2000 to a 2002 cummins. they had different wire harness. also had couple less wires. so after some cutting and butt splicing it worked.
