2003+ Dodge 2wd Spindle
Regarding the price... if somebody wants a set (with brake hoses) for $699 that's easily accomplished. And I think MSRP is still at $899.95. A strange thing about CST... they always start out high with new products and then work their pricing down as the product gets older.

Aloha, is this still a reality? If it is please let me know ASAP!!! Money is sitting there waiting. If the $699 is still true I am ready to purchase today.

Thanks PT, but I guess what I was really asking is if the price Aloha mentioned is still a reality.
I found a shop who actualy has two of these sets in stock, he's asking $850 for the spindles and am not sure if that includes the brake lines.
Tack on another $200 ish for install ... not sure on the complexity of the install and wheather I could do it myself.
Having a hard time trying to justify this lift. 3 1/2" lift spindles for close to $900 versus $90 for 2 1/2" lift coil spring spacers ... plus $80 ish if you include longer front shocks with the spacer kit.
Is this style of lift (lift spindles) really worth an extra $700 compared to the spacer style lift??
Btw mine is 2WD.

Similar kits for other vehicles sell for $699 all day long. I wouldn't pay more than that.
If you're happy with 2-1/2" than just do the spacer. But if you're looking for a bit more get the spindle. There are a couple things you need to keep in mind before making your decision:
1. The spindle will require aftermarket wheels. According to CST the stock wheels will not clear the spindle.
2. A spindle only lift will ride better than a spacer lift.
3. A spacer can be used in conjunction with the spindle to get more lift. So the 3.5" spindle and 2.5" spacer combined can net you 6" of lift.
Backspace

The 2wd trucks encounter the same problem as the 4wd trucks... as you reduce back space you increase the requirement for lift to clear the same size tire. For instance, on a stock height 4x4 Ram 2500 you can clear a 315/70/17 tire with zero lift on STOCK wheels. If you want to clear the same size tire on an aftermarket wheel with less back space you will need some sort of lift. The same is true of the 2wd trucks... as you reduce back space on the wheel you start to run out of room to clear a larger tire.

I recieved the below email from CST, and if I am reading it right it seems that they are saying the larger the tire and or tire/wheel combo, the more you need to reduce the backspace.
For the stock wheels to work you would need 1/2 spacer behind the wheel to push it out. Factory back space is 6" and for the stock wheel and
tire combo to work you need 5.5". To use the stock wheel or aftermarket
wheel with a larger tire you would need to be at not more than 5.125"

Also; the spacers he mentions ... are there any dangers or potential problems using one of these spacers behind the wheels? I would think they would cause the hub assembly to be loaded differently.
Finaly, several of yall have mentioned there being other kits in the $650 price range. So far the CST spindle and brake line kit has been the only one I can find with 3/4 or 1 ton application. Every other company I have looked at seems to make them only for 1/2 tons ... granted, being 2WD does not make it easy
Has anyone put this system on their truck yet? I am looking hard at doing either a 2" lift or possibly purchasing this kit, but I would like some feedback. Biggest thing I am looking for is a improvement over the current stock ride. Everyone who gets in my truck says I should be getting dental waivers....lol
WOT Racing,
I wouldnt think that any lift kit would affect the ride of your truck much, other than perhaps more body roll due to center of gravity.
I would assume the shocks are the major player in this arena.
However, from what I understand, the lift spindle kit, and the way it keeps all the steering and suspension geometry at stock angles would be the less likely to affect ride quality.
