17"X9" with 5.98 bs +25mm offset stock suspension will this work?

ok i think i have been able to stop my previous order of 18X9 4.5 bs wheels
BEFORE i order this time i would like some opinions please
i'm looking at the gear alloy double pumps 17X9 with 5.98 bs +25mm offset

the stock tires are 265/70r17 bfg's
i would like to go with 305/65r17 bfg's

i am still going to install the ats fenderflares

i want to fill them up without the tires sticking out past them

in my rudimentary figuring, the wheel should be like 1.5" wider than stock (to the outside) and the tires will roughly 1.5" wider than stock (only .75" to the front) so i'm looking at 2.25" exposed, which should fill up the flares nicely.....

please correct me wherever im wrong

and is anyone running this current setup?
stock suspension and no leveling kit
i prefer to keep it that way, so i can change tire sizes if i need to, but do want to stay with a 10 ply due to pulling a camper

That backspacing is perfect for these trucks if you want bigger tires, aftermarket wheels, and no rubbing. You won't have any rubbing on the inner fender and you shouldn't have any on the control arms either. As for filling up the flares, I don't think that tire/wheel combo would fill up my Bushwacker flares, but the ATS flares may have slightly less coverage. In any case, I think it will look fine.

this same wheel is offered with a +10 mm offset (5.39 bs) would this fill up the flares more? with still no rubbing?
and does anyone know the exact width of the ats flares?

The 5.39" backspacing will make you much more likely to rub the back of the front fender.

what is the exact rim size on stock? 17X? with +44mm offset??

according to that chart, both will work even the 18X9 with 4.5 bs granted they stick out an additional .6" than the 17X9 with +10mm offset for a total of 2.7" (18X9with 4.5 bs) vs. the 2.1"(17X9 with 5.39bs)

all of these measurements are assuming the stock rim is 8" does anyone know for sure how wide stock is?

i guess the question now is which setup would be easier on front end parts?
ie. i really want to avoid the death wobble lol

The easiest on the front end parts would be the ones with 5.98" of backspacing. I think the ones with 5.39" of backspacing would look the best and I don't think you would rub with the 305's.

I think you're 5.98 backspacing would be the ticket. They may not fill the flares up quite as much, but they will be alot easier on the wheel bearings.

The website I listed is good for showing relationship of offset, width, backspacing, etc, but it can't REALLY tell you if you're going to rub. I'm pretty sure with a 4.5" backspacing you WILL rub. If you don't mind trimming fenders a little, you can get away with it.

I'm running the Lorenz 2.25" kit, with about 3" lift in front. My wheels are 17x9 with a 5.71" backspacing, and 37x13.50" tires. This combo rubbed badly on the back of the front fender, and I had to do some pretty good trimming. That's not something everyone is willing to do. The less backspacing you go with, the bigger tendency there will be to rub the back of the fender.

if you do the 5.98" b/s, i would skip the flares. imho, too much flare with too little tire doesn't look good at all.
