13.89@100.40 Rowing the boat

Needless to say, I am very happy with the runs I made. I consistently cut 1.9-2.0 60's and was launching in 2nd. I wish I had enough clutch to try 3rd. I think I am going to get a Predator to help fuel above 2700 and run nitrous to help heep it cool. It was 89 deg at noon and the intake air temp was showing it.

Yep, stock turbo and a plastic intercooler! At the end of the runs, I was 1040 deg. after the turbo and 1200 at the manifold. I was "no lift shifting" with a set of 245-70-17 on steel wheels. The best part was the Honda club had their annual meet there. It was only test and tune day but after I sketched off a few of them, they waved me by in the staging lanes.

Did you lift on the 4th-5th shift because I've never been able to bang 5th gear in all three NV5600's ive owned.

I'd love to see someone keep WOT when shifting into 5th on a NV5600.....

Its never worked for me and Ive raced before.

What was your 1/8 because mine sucked but I flew from 1/8-1/4 when I could finally build some power w/o having to shift. I had a lame ET of 14.7 but a killer speed of 98mph!!!! which is 13 second speeds

I took some pics of my time slips for you to see my times on the track. I really have no problems with the 5th gear shift. I put my palm at the back of the shifter and smack it in...if it wants to go or not I noticed when I put the Redline MTL it helped with the power shifts. On the run against the Cobra, I missed 4th!!! How do you miss 4th? I was watching him because we were side by side and I couldnt believe it. he was running low 12's all day. The time slip with the red stamp was a Civic and he went to the track officials to try and make me run in the right lane only. He said he couldnt breathe and backed out at the 1/8th.

I put on a set of 245-70-17 BGF Long trails that I sprayed with traction compound. I thought with the small tires I could launch in 3rd. I think I have enough motor but not enough clutch. I should have taken along the 35's because i think they would have worked better. Thre is a lot more drag with the wider rubber, but I was at 3100 rpm at the end of the track. The Edge peters out at 2700 so you dont overrev the engine. It did crack 3910rpm's from the no lift shifts.

I am going back in 2 weeks and trying nitrous. I dont konw if I will have enough cash to buy a Predator though. I am taking the car also, I have been trying different injectors / supercharger pulley configurations to see what works the best. Sometimes I wish I was addicted to crack instead of horsepower, I think it would be cheaper.

The 35's would of slowed you down for sure. If you had an auto it might be a wash I can tell a big difference in acceleration.

My stack fuels hard in the top end.

What was you mp8 at?

All of the Predators are U7131's in the classifieds

I tried the mp-8 at 50% and again at 65% but did not notice any gain. I am afraid to crank it because I dont want to blow my releif valve. I do carry an emergency 1/8 pipe tap and plug to get me home though. I dont know what the 35's would do. I can launch them hard in 2nd. With the 245's, you have to shift to 3rd as fast as you smash the go pedal. I think it would help the 60 footer but kill the top end. In two weeks, I will know for sure

Very nice times, I assume you were launching in 4wd? I would like to know how much better you could do by launching in 3rd.
