You are my hero! That was an awesome run... I would love to someday see 11's on my daily driver. Hey a man can dream...

My wife wanted to watch the video! And when I told her I want my truck to do that, she said "Sure, just as long as I can have my own"!

First off thats awsome.

Next, I would like to see what some water and a little nos would do.

Why are the Dmaxes able to run quick times on stock injectors or is that BS?

McRat, give the DTR guys an email address and post it in a few threads as to where to send the requests , complaints, etc to ya get the efi live CR ball rolling.

engine management and a good tuner is what makes the D-max fast..

by tuner I mean a person who knows how to tune using a engine management set-up like EFI live.

Mcrat, I notice your times say that you have only tuning done to your trucks. You dont have any turbo upgrades, injectors, fuel pumps, tranny upgrades? JUST efilive?

Congrats on the times. You were in my neck of the woods when you made that run. And when I say woods I mean it. That track is in Gillam...but shreveport is probably the closest city that anyone would recognize.

James,

I had to sign up on the DTR just so I could congratulate you on a great run. I think you know how hard we have been working to get a common rail to run like that, it gives us all hope that the common rail hadn't reached a wall and couldn't go any faster. I had the fastest horse in the HTS stable for the last couple of years looks like I have to hand that title over to you now. Congrats!

"Tuning only" is just shorthand for "no engine changes".

There are the "normal" modifications you must do to a Dmax to support the power, like trans upgrade ($2000-5000), exhaust ($300), lift pump ($200), PRV shim ($1), but they are necessary BECAUSE of the hp, they don't make much if any power themselves. Engine, injectors, turbo, CP3 remain stock. You can turn a dmax up to ~500rwhp by just playing with computerm, but it will limp the trans on the dyno or track.

You will also have to spend $500 to brace the IFS front to make it live when doing 4wd boosted launches. It will do it stock, but you will wear out, bend parts shortly.

I have watched that video a dozen or more times, I just can't get over it. Very cool !!
I am hopeing on getting to the track this weekend weather premiting, I just installed the PPE dual fueler system . I still have a few things to get tweaked in reguarding fuel supplying the pumps. But right now the truck feels really strong
I have my doubts about an 11.41 though I don't have enough charger for that!
But my concern right now is being able to run consistant 12.00's on fuel only for the DHRA quick diesel class . Rockingham is coming up fast !!

Congrads James!!! Nice meeting you at the dyno in the Springs, sucks you couldn't get a accurate # and build much boost. Glad you didn't stay down on it!!

If you come back to Colorado lets grab a beer. Also thanks for the ride the truck is awesome!!!
