06 Tailgate Spoiler/Caps Available

Remember seeing a few posts inquiring about availability of the 06 factory tailgate cap/spoiler - according to my dealer, they were released for aftermarket purchase today - he had one in stock, so I got mine today. Dodge part # is 82209867, list price on my receipt shows as $89.00 + tax. Install requires drilling 4 small holes in the outer tailgate skin and inserting metal threaded anchors for the retaining bolts. All pieces required come attached to the above part number.

Another post that is completely useless without pictures I thought the moderators would have banned these by now...

It's rated for an additional 125hp and 210 ft lbs - but only for Rams with Ford Cummings engines....

And to think I paid $695 for my Juice w/Attitude........
I could have received the same results for $89

I think he's talking about the tailgate top/rail cap style.

Ya know the one that comes on the 06 1500's and has been on the Chevy's.

Its like a rail cap, but goes on the top of tailgate, and it has a slight lip on it, so its like a spoiler. Its kinda hard to describe.

Anything less than 2500 or gas powered has become inferior

That's it - looks like a beefier version of the (ugh) Chevy (ugh) tailgate cap. Not much of a spoiler, that's just the term used in the DC catalog.

I'm with you Herrin821. Actually, any truck I see without a diesel engine is not a truck in my eyes...
