06 performance parts questions...

I am considering an 06 cummins megacab and i was wondering what performance upgrades available for it can make it hang or out run a duramax.

Now don't hate but, I currently have an 05 duramax w/ allison that has the edge juice with att., afe stage 2 intake, straight exhaust from the turbo back, and it will move! I obviously am a performance nut and will mod the cummins as well.

Now every 03-05 cummins I have ran up against with similar mods I have beat up on pretty bad... I know me and I would be disappointed if I couldn't do the same mods on my new cummins and couldn't hang with my duramax fellows.

Any input?

I had an 03 duramax with a edge/attitude afe intake and banks exhaust and just bought an 06 cummins sport 2 weeks ago. I honestly wouldnt trade 2 of those trucks for the one i have now. I put a bully dog triple dog on the truck i have now with an afe intake and it will scat, plus you have a truck. This thing ride5 times better than my duramax, even with the new bfg mud tires i put on lastweek. Now i will tell ya, the tranny aint no ally, but with a shift kit and sun coast tqc it will do.

So you can stack them both on a stock turbo/motor?

I would deff. put a stronger converter and a shift kit in it first thing.

Mark Craig,

Thanks for the info. I will contact you for pricing.

I am going to do my homework on the performance companies and go with someone that spends more R & D money on the cummins than others and thats where I will start.
