06 mega/4x4-slower than 04.5/2x4/quad

I still have not added any electronics to my truck yet. But I will, stock is very boring. My other truck (see signature) felt quicker than my current truck, even when the other was returned to stock. After I took out my Superchips, I drove around for a while with stock tuning, straight 4" exhaust. Now I am driving around with 4" straight exhaust on my current truck. It feels quite a bit slower than the previous truck. I am sure a 4x4 and megacab adds weight. What do you-all think? Should I just ignore it and slow-poke around until I download some power?
Thanx.

My 05 and 06 were both QC 4x4's and there wasn't any difference.... I'd think weight would be the only issue?? Same axle ratio's? Maybe one of the 06 flashes for the EcM took a tad of power away?

Stock vs. stock a 2wd will always outrun a 4wd. And you are talking megacab. Maybe almost 2000 lbs. difference. Take 2 2wd's and put a small trailer behind the other and race them both and that would be about the same difference. Just my $.02.

Thanx for the time guys. I wonder how much more it weighs. The megacab sure feels bigger, it is like I sold a camaro and bought a school bus. Man is it a good truck for a family, though. My kids can play WWF back there. I have read somewhere that 06's did get some slow-ish flashes. I should investigate.

Thanx.
