You may have a very difficult time getting any warranty work done after an 8" lift.Who wants to work for cheap while hanging off a ladder.

You guys who equate lift height with cost crack me up.....

.....oh, and I wouldn't pay $1500 for 6" of lift.

I would love to run side by side through the whoops against these killer 6-8" lifts

Thats great and all, but we dont have any whoops here in nashville or anywhere near. We have mountains though. I know that Kore and Carli and Lorenz and Thuren make great stuff but i get tired of hearing "yeah but you cant blast through sand dunes at a gazillion miles an hour". Different strokes, remember that.

No offense intended.

ya but the point is how well the kits handle off road, dunes or no dunes the Kore and Carli kits should and will handle off road territory much better than any other.

Doesnt make much sense to me.....but as boz says differents strokes. If I wanted a dune machine I would build my self a sand rail, running trails building a wheeler. Etc.

This is what I hear all the time: $3000 for less than 3" of lift?! I can get an 8" lift for that.

What most people fail to understand is the components on the so-called "race suspensions" will shine everywhere, except for maybe in mud bogs where you need 40"+ tires.

This is true. Who ever thinks there are 8 inch "race" suspensions are sorely mistaken.

kore's kits sell for $1500 for a low level kit with bilstein 5100's to over $10,000 for a kit that i can only imagine includes private school tuition for your kids! i get a kick out of people getting self righteous about a product that might just be out of most people's price range- and some people would like to run 37's without "fender/sheet metal trimming".

I'll run side by side with you. I'll lose in a race against any long-travel suspension but at least I'll look goooood doin it If you really wanna have fun in woops, dunes, or 60' jumps, you hop on your zuki 450 fully built race quad w/long-travel elka suspension and tear it up. Aint nothin more thrilling for me.

My cousins best friend has a rockcrawler 8" lift and he's very happy with it.

I know Thuren will make custom sizes, so if you want 5" you can get a 5" and still have 10" travel.
As far as hoping on a "zuki 450" and jumping 60 ft. on a quad, I would rather buy a lift kit from like skyjacker or something, rather than ride a quad!
Bikes all the way over quads any day. and If you are going to ride, ride Yamahas or Hondas.
Also people who say that all these suspensions are just made for Baja and Whoops are silly. These trucks handle so well just on your basic fire roads.
I suspect people that buy these Dodges are going to have them for a very long time. I know I will never sell mine!

I have no problem with the price (except that i dont have the much right now). You pay for quality, i understand that. And your right, its stupid for someone to say "im not paying $3k for 3" of lift. Its not about that. Its that i dont need or want a race suspension. I want a quality riding kit that will handle fireroads, street driving or wherever i want to go. I'll be getting Don's coils and King shock kit but it'll be in the 5" of lift range.
