05 vs. mine
05 vs. mine
hey I tried out the 05 PSD 6.0 this weekend. TS tranny switches over nicely and quick. The fords have a lot of topend power. 6.0 are much quicker then the cummins on the freeway for sure. After driving the ford i came back to my truck and guned it right away to feel the difference and definitely the cummins wakes up much quicker, but lacks topend grunt. Overall i like the dodges interior more then the HD fords.. fords are very plain looking.. cheap too and I thought the dodges wasn't even that great... fords are worst!!!
just thought i'd share my experience!!!!

I agree about the interior, they are cheaply designed, I get compliments from the ford guys all the time. I am definiatly pleased with my 05 compared to the other two, just wish Dodge would put a cummins in it another vehicle like the durango to compete with the excursion.
Don't you think the Durango and Excursion are quite different in size??
I'm not familiar with this condition of a 6.0 being faster on the hwy than a CTD
Must be a 3rd gen thing

I had narrowed my new truck down to the Ford and Dodge..... test drove both... the Ford (XLT Trim) reminded me of a cheap Hyundai interior and was UNGODLY noisy.... The Dodge was quieter, smoother and felt as if it hav more pickup off the line..... and the best thing..... the Dodge was about 6000 less

I too drove the Ford and Dodge a bunch of times. Every time I drove a Ford it was different from the previous. Some had power and some didn't. With all the 6.0 trouble I just couldn't see risking a Ford. I will admit this is the first Chrysler I've ever owned. Last new vehicle was a 2001 3/4 ton Yukon XL. Although it continues to serve us well @ 95K miles, it's a 6.0 litre piston slapper (tick) when cold, and GM refused to acknowledge a problem. Two Chevy gas dually's before this truck. I hope this Dodge works out, as it's down to the Big 2 for me. So far, it's great.
