Question 04 mods help?

i've got an 04 2500 auto. i get about 17-18 mpg on the highway and the truck isn't slow. but i'm a horse power junky... i want to build it up without killing my mpg. if they will stay the same or get better i'll do it. i was thinking about a chip, injectors, and turbo. any ideas or experience? i want as much power as i can get and still be a daily driver. i also tow now and then.

Just read on this site for awhile and look at sigs to see what guys have and their hp. Speed costs money - how fast do you want to go? Expect a few thousand just in the trans and that much more if you do very much to the engine. The nice thing is, you can start out moderate and there's such a market for used parts, you can sell the old stuff as you go up. I have $1850 in performance mods and I'm barely at entry level for this site - but I'm more concerned with usable towing power! Craig

thanks buddy, i looked threw the threads and didn't see anything helpful. and alot of the stuff they are talking about, and half the time i don't know what it is.
how much good did the a-2000 do you? i was thinking about either that one or a silver bullet. what do you think? and for towing like you and i do, which chip do you think is better?

You need to fill out your SIG so we know what you have on your truck, that way we don't tell you something you already know.
1. Gauges
2.Intake+exhaust
2.Small box (MP8,EZ)
3.Tranny upgrade
4.TURBO
5.Bigger BOX
6.more Tranny upgrades
7.LOAN

I was following this thread hoping for enlightenment; something cheaper than above. Guess that isn't going to happen, power and speed = $$$.

Well if your a HP junkie, if you don't build your tranny your going to be very upset when your engine is making all that power, but your truck is sitting there in place not going anywhere.... if you have a 04 305/555 I can tell you the TST R49 and SMARTY is a awesome stack. This last month was the first month that I still had a quater of a tank left in my aux tank on pay day. I have the SMARTY on 2 and TST on 3/3 with 3 degree's of timing and rail pressure on 1. My over head reads 24.5 which is higher than ever before, but we all know the over head isn't close anyway, but like I said I still had a quarter of a tank on payday and in the 2 years I've owned this truck, this is the first. It's 6 speed with 373 gears

I really like my Edge Juice w/Attitude. Very smooth power and can be upgraded to the Hot Juice for more power.

You don't need to worry about gauges because they are built into the Attitude.

With everything stock I can get it hot on level 5 but it has the adjustable auto defuel feature to keep me from melting anything. It can also detect trans/clutch slip and defuel based on that.

The settings are Mileage, Tow, Drive, Race, and Extreme. If you shop around you can pick them up for around $700.

My truck will automatically idle up when it's cold....somewhere around 30 degrees. I don't have the flash that allows you to press the cruise button and adjust the idle. I think it is only available on the automatics.

Mopar how far do see yourself going. What do you want to accomplish, heavy towing, racing, street driving? These will make a difference as to how far you should go. (Also will make a differnce as to how much tranny upgrades you should look at)

My mods took care of the 'faster than most on the road' for a good price and it's usable power - no heat problems. I could also sell my stock turbo for about $300 but I will keep it in case I ever want it again. I already had gauges. Craig
