I would have to check...but I am not sure there is 6" worth of tubing that can be trimmed from the bottom...I think I would have to re miter cut them my self from the top....I will have to check into it.
I would LOVE to offer the 42" stack to you guys!!! shoot I think I would even change mine to a 42" if it works??
I will let you know what I find
this is great input guys keep it coming

ok I just checked mine and there is no way you can trim the bottom of the 48" stack to make it cab high...the riming would have to be done on the miter side....other wise your still stuck with the 36" stacks.
while I do agree a full length stack would look cool when you look in the bed....I also must say you cant really ever see the 5" neck down unless you right there in the bed anyway....so it's kinda a wash.
a untrimmed 48" stack will be 4.5" above the cab!!!!!
and the miter is the only stack that I can modify myself.

my 7" GR stack only has about 3-4" worth of 5" on the bottom neck down...I dont see how you could mount the stack if you cut off the 3-4" worth of mounting tubing???

I took a piece of 1/8" sheet steel and cut a 7"x7" square out and then cut a 5" hole in the middle for the 5" coming through the bed, then i took a 6" ID coupler and weled it to the plate for the stack to set in and used a band clamp to seal it at the bottom! Under the truck i have 4" from the turbo back to after the cat then it blows up to 5" into a short piece of SS flex pipe into my solid elbow and up through the bed and the 7"x7" plate that the stack sits on!! Used all band clamps and it looks great!!

Ok I did some more measuring and I have come to the conclusion the 42" is way to short?!?!
my stack is 45" from the bottom of the bed to the top of the cab.
when I say "top" I mean the highest point on the cab.
the round part of the roof goes 2-3" higher then the 3rd brake light..so to me that is "cab high"????
if you did 42"ers the very tip of the miter would be level with the 3rd brake light.....that is not cab high IMO.
I had my stack that low and I feel they look and sound better if mounted a little higher.
I will get you guys what ever you want..I will get 12" stacks if the what the masses want.
but what do you guys think??
I may buy a 48" and mod it so i can show you what the two different heights would look like??
