Thanx for the RPM info. That is awesome information, 315's sound like the perfect fwy tires for G56/3.73 guys.

? I'm guessing the chrome would have to be sandblasted off...anyone know how much that would cost? Love the black wheels on a white truck, that's exactly what i'm looking to do.
powder coating AND sand blasting is 35 bucks a wheel.
Call around and find out for sure, every place is different for prices...

Post number 27!! I gave the honors to where it truely belonged!

Thanks C. IMO, You were one of the pioneers in the black wheels, debadged, "subtle" stand-out trucks that get noticed without the truck screaming ""LOOK AT ME"".

looks tough! In Texas our state trooper cars are black and white and i have see some Rams used by the department. Looks like you can put "Texas State Trooper" on the side. Black wheels look awesome on our rigs, but again I am bias too...... DOWN WITH CHROME!

53willys, Looks great! Am I to understand that these '06 wheels are polished, not chromed? (not that I would have expected chrome!) so evidently sandblasting is not an issue. You and TexasCTD are the inspiration, I think I'll check into doing this for my winter wheels. I've got Khaki color, that should work well .Never liked the polished anyway. Thanks

Yes the wheels are polished BUT they are also clearcoated......(to keep the shine)
THE WHEELS HAVE TO BE SANDBLASTED NO MATTER WHAT
if you don't blast the wheels they will bubble because you cant bake clearcoat in an oven at 400*
