Wish Me Luck with the wife

about 2 years ago I took my wife to buy a Dodge and we ended up with an 04 Ford 6.0 PS crew cab dually to keep her happy (I've always driven Dodges but she liked the Ford's ride put $5k in it last spring (egr cooler & injector computer) and now something is wrong with the front end. It has 104k miles on it, it is comfortable but it is a Ford

tomorrow morning we're going down to look at

08 Megacab Dually CTD 4X4 Laramie with 78k miles driven by the local dealers who ropes and is a great kid, truck has never been hotrodded

09 Megacab Dually CTD 4X4 SLT/leather with 58k miles driven by the local middle aged implement dealer hauling tractors around

both trucks are immaculate

PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS TONIGHT THAT I CAN GET RID OF THE FORD

then we'd have 2 good CTD's and I'd be so very happy

thanks guys, I think I have her convinced this time, her son has an 03' PS and has had the same troubles we have

I drive the 01' all the time so hers won't get many miles, just vacations, going to rope where we have a ways to go, out to eat with friends

glad my cause was worthy of your 1,000 post

well, she/we bought it, PS is gone

well, I still have my 01' which I love but the 04 powerstroke money pit is gone

we bought the 08' mega cab dually laramie 4x4 dually with the automatic, has every option except navigation and a sunroof, 78,000 miles and was the dealer's son's truck, very well cared for, truck stickered new in 08' for $54k and some change

he rodeo's so it's all set up to pull our 4-horse living quarters trailer

has the firestone airbags with a on board compressor and in cab guage and switch, I've ran Timbrens for years, I'll see how these airbags are, might have to pull the Timbrens off the 01' and go with the Firestones, really a neat system

the truck needs nothing, my wife is happy and we'll just drive it on long trips together, the 01' (which is mint with 214k mile) will continue to be the workhorse

it has the good rubber mats with edges to hold the sand /slop/snow

I know you'll find the hard to believe but I lifted both mats up and on this truck the original plastic film covering the carpet in shipping from the factory is still on the truck carpet and is not even torn!!

unbelievably clean, you could eat off of the suspension, I don't think it ever saw a gravel road

If the wife wanted a ford, I would have come home with the Dodge. There are plenty of fish in the sea, but you can only own 1 of the big 3

I went through that with the household CFO. I wanted a 3/4 ton, diesel would be a bonus, for when we upgrade our fifth wheel but she was adamant. Too big, too heavy, too hard to drive but the big thing was TOO EXPENSIVE. She had never drven a full size p/u.
We found a very clean low mileage 05 diesel crew cab at a good price, owner needed to move it, and she said yes. She actually enjoys it, finds it very comfortable.Amazing.
