willys whistler on a 6.7
There is a hose from the EGR(I think) that goes into the bottom section of the factory tube. You would probably have to figure out a way to incorporate that into the whistler. The new setup looks a bit tighter then the 5.9 setup. You may also have to do a little trimming on the tubes to make it all work....
It's a homemade intake that 53Willys here came up with. Works great on the 5.9s but on the 6.7s there is a permanent silencer on the turbo so ours will never whistle that loud unless we go through the huge hassle of removing it...
Anybody try a ****** yet, had a friend ask me yesterday if I could make an intake like mine on my 5.9 for his 6.7. I took a look at and besides having two sensers to deal with and the tube on the lower elbow it looks as easy as mine. There are two solutions with the lower elbow: 1) Just reuse the elbow with a straight 4" pipe into a 4-5" elbow at the top and a 5" filter instaed of the original 6". 2) Or use the 4-5" elbow like the original whisler and on the aluminum tube between the upper and lower elbows, weld on a bung/tube on there for the hose to connect to. What is the hose for and what size is it?
