Where the heck is the horn?

Just as the title states gents. I need to locate it to tie in a trigger wire for my air horn solenoid.

Either I'm blind, it's too dark in my garage, or they have it hidden real well.

I haven't looked very hard under there. Nothing by the front end clips by the fog lights?

Hit the panic button on the remote and listen.

In my '98, it was along the rad on the passenger side. Nothing there or or by the fog lights. I had the GF tap it as I listened - seems to be coming from the driver's side, but I cannot get a visual. I tried to stick my hand under the fuse/relay block in front of the battery and found nothing either.

mad,

You're awsome! To me, it shows it's mounted on the lower side of the framerail.............or am I out to lunch? At work right now on my CrackBerry, so no truck to look for it for real................or a bigger screen until home tonight.

You have to remove the driver's inner fender liner and it is mounted up above it right in the middle. On earlier trucks it was mounted further forward.

This could be interesting. I have mudflaps and fender trim.

It is done............and tested. Whoohoo - a custom mounted set of Grover 24.5" Stuttertones (designed for fire trucks)!!

Thanks for all the help in locating the truck horn folks.

What a pain to tap into the horn wires though.

The people more worried about texting and their cell phones over paying attention to driving should now be able to be induced to crap their drawers and get out of the way.

Glad that you got it done, but use those things carefully... It would be terrible if you caused a wreck.

Just be careful... and enjoy them! We need a vid...

I'll use them sparingly............reserved for the galatically stupid.

"Get outta jail free card" to help with the LEO's.
