Wheel opinions...

I guess this topic will work in the drivetrain forum...On my previous truck (2003 4WD 3500 dually with leveling kit on front) I used 19.5X6.75 steel Rickson wheels with 245/70R19.5 LRF Michelins...My newer truck is a 2009 2WD 3500 cab & chassis...I'd like to use the same 19.5 wheel/tire combo on the newer one (no leveling device)...Has anyone used this combination on a stock 2WD, and will there be any interference problems?...I know 4500 and 5500 C&C's also use 19.5's but I do not know the clearance issues...The current 245/75R17's are 31.5" tall and the desired 19.5's are 33.5"...

Pics here...

I no longer own the previous truck or wheels and I am starting from scratch...All opinions are welcome...Thanks......Ben

Well, I didn't get any opinions so I took a chance, and ordered what I thought I might like...Those interested may read the results on my blog...There's a photo link there also......Ben

I searched for an answer here, but didn't find what I was looking for...The wheels I have on now are polished aluminum (as pictured), and I'd like to keep them as shiny as I can for as long as I can...What are others doing to minimize the effects of oxidation on their aluminum wheels?...I googled the subject and got about as many opinions as there are wheels on the road...Many say don't wax them (I was thinking Meguiar's Gold Class which is the same as I use on the paint) but most say it will eventually dull the finish of the polished aluminum...What I'm mainly looking for is a way to reduce water spots...I ordered some Mother's Aluminum Polish already...Does anyone else have any experience?...Bear in mind this is a daily driver out in the weather all night, not a garage queen...Thanks......Ben
