i have and 08 cab and chassis with an mp-8 on it. the pick up has 14,000 miles on it. i was hauling cattle the other day and the clutch started chattering when i was accelerating and started slipping. i haul cattile quite a bit and just the cattle and the trailor together weight right about 27,000lbs and im planning on stacking an xrt with it. so what clutch would u guys suggest that wouldn be to grabby and wouldn buck all over the place while backing a trailor but would still hold the power well? thank you

There has been alot of banter on this site with clutches. One company that has been banned from this site.

Here it is... I have been around the boards since 99 and the only company that has come up with stellar service, superior product and great all around experience is South Bend. I waited 6 years to buy a clutch and I knew I would call Peter and get the straight goods. Do it once and get an SBC product.

I would call Peter @ SBC, none of us are clutch experts.

That being said, I would look at their DD3250 as an excellent choice.

 

They are also sold through the DTR store! Support the free site and get a good deal at the same time.

they installed mine in feb '03 and it's still going

 

A SB con ofe will more than hold the power and towing you do.It is still holding in my truck with quite a bit more than you have.It will retain stock feel and pedal pressure with no grabby or jerky feel.Now with that being said,if you have the extra money to boot go ahead and get the DD3250 and be done with all your clutch worries for a couple 100k miles.
