Sound Like You Need A Regen. That When The Truck Get The Exhaust Up To Temp To Burn Off The Soot And Ash Deposit. If You Drive In Town Alot It Doest Have Enough Time To Do Whats Called A Pasive Regen. Im A Diesel Mech An We Get Alot Of Detrits, And Cummins In For That. See If You Can Get It To Do A Regen. It May Get Rid Of The Code. For Some Reason If They Havent Been Regen From The Factory At Least Once They Throw Codes. They Havent Figured It Out For Any Emissins Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Yet

I have 50K miles on it in 6 months - it is all highway and I do not let it idle.

The problem was a blocked air intake. When I had the oil and air filter changed a rag was left in the air intake affecting air flow and thereby the regen process.

Removed ragand 7.2 miles later on highway overhead changed to system OK, Done 700 miles yesterday no problems!

This was NOT a Dodge problem! Stupid human error.....

Well at least you got it fixed right? How could someone forget a rag in the air intake? Glad to hear your truck is back to running great.

This is why I tell people to do their OWN service.

The guys that do the simple stuff are usually not the sharpest knives in the drawer at the shop. Sometimes they are, but more times than not the experienced guys are doing the more complicated stuff.
