Ultra-Low Sulfur Oil

I'm coming up on my first oil change and I was told by the deal I had to use a special oil for the 6.7. Who makes the oil and does the oil filter from the 5.9L work on the 6.7?

Thanks,

You must/should use any diesel oil that has a CJ-4 ratting.
My dad runs CJ-4 5W-40 Amsoil in his 6.7

Yes, the 6.7 uses the same oil filter as the 5.9. One of the best filters out there is the Fleetguard Stratapore... Fleetguard #LF16035.

Same Filter DIFFERENT oil must be CJ-4 rated - Valvoline Premium Blue is what comes in the engine from Cummins another good one is Chevron Delo 400 Low Emmission.

It has it, just look for the triple protection logo on the front of the bottle. Look for the CJ-4.
