Ujoints worn out at 62,000 miles

I have worn out ujoints on the driveshaft ( rear joint) , and both front axle joints. Seems to me that I should expect more milage from those joints on a truck used strickly on the highway. Each joint has at least one cup with basically no grease in it.
I have replaced the rear joint with a greaseable replacement.
Dealer says warranty ended at 60,000, to bad !!
So I bought joints at NAPA.

I also got 200,000 miles from the joints on my '01.
that's why i was disapointed with the 60,000 on this truck.

Tucana, do you have the part number for the "Greaseable" U-Joint? I have been all over the Vancouver area and all I can find are non greaseables, I already "had those" and they are toast, second set! only got 20000 on them this time!!!

any help would appreciated

i have put rear joints in both trucks....you all need to remember....650+ ft/lbs of torque being put to the ground through that one little part.....and i know you didn't all buy these trucks to drive them like cadillac's .....mine lasted 20k in the cab and chassis and 38k in the pickup....and if that is the biggest problem i have.....than so help me i'll take it

I believe the size I need are 1485 Ujoints.

any Idea what sockets sizes I need to pick up to "press them out", trying to learn myself some monkey wrenching, and figure it shouldn't be "that" hard to change these, the shop did them last time in 1/2 hour, I should be able to do it in 3 hours taking my time?......
