Question turbo

hey guys i am hearing that my turbo will lock up because i don't drive my truck much it's a 07 5.9 and i only have 5300 miles pretty cleer i don't need it but i will keep it cause i like. anything i can do to insure tthis don't happen.

Id say a start and idle, or even better a good run at least twice a month would prevent anything from happening.

the rumor might be on the 6.7 turbos with the lack of use of the e-brake instead of the 5.9. Also nothing wrong with having a pleasure vehicle, its your money do with it as you please.lol

I only have 7300 on my 07.5 6.7. It is a work/pleasure/tow vehicle, not a commuter or grocery getter.

I would start it up now and then as well. I've let my truck sit long enough with the Insight plugged in that it totally killed both batteries and almost was not able to bring'em back up . Now, I unplug the insight when the truck sits.
