TSB's ???

Well, I brought my dodge in finally since my flash is AE rev A. I have never gotten codes and truck runs perfect to my knowledge. I said it threw a code for a second and that tranny clunks when putting it gear. i said i would like the newest flash of AU. Well this is what they did.

TSB 18190516 with a 774 WD1

TSB 18-037-07 wich is a low line pressure for 68re with code p0868 which I never saw. I see the tag under hood reprogramm TCM but nothing about AU is what I wanted. *** ?????????? I searched around for TSB and found 1803707 but there is a REV A and they are supposed to delete the original.
Did I basically just waste my time. ***

What is the first TSB, I cant find it anywhere?????????

Ok after the transmission flash does you truck shift different I had 4 updated and I can't tell what flash changed you didn't mention that there was a difference and you only had the tranny flash, i'm very interested in you response, because I don't really like the way the truck shifts now.

I posted this on another thread.
I just came from the dealer and had my truck updated, no codes or nothing and no problems figured I'd update id just in case, turnes out there were 4 updates, 1 TSB 18-037-07 rev a for a low line pressure transmission code, TSB 18-033-07 REV B so for those of you that had rapid response 07-021 it's not the same as far as i could tell from the w/o but I was there when it was getting updated the p/n ended with AU the only difference I have seen with this flash is so far is the WIF light now illuminates with the key on and goes off in about 3 sec, and I feel that the exhaust brake is stronger not much but it is stronger than before, and it respondes on and off quicker. the other two was for the sunroof and for the 4x4 axle disconnect.
now as far as the transmission it's kind of early to tell because at first the truck shifted rough and after 40 km of hard driving and bombing around town is now shift smoother than before the flash up shifting and down

Thats what i wanted was au. Dang it, why couldnt they of just flashed me like I wanted. I havent driven my truck really since my new tsb. Im doing a 2000 mile trip leaving monday, will tell you if I feel any difference. I will say though before the flash, i didnt like the way my tranny shiffted in tow/haul and didnt like the EB sometimes in tow mode, It would bounce like crazy. Thats why i wanted AU, but we shall see if this new ecm does any to that. Keep yall posted

I've been hearing things like after the AU flash the truck shifted differently and no mention about the tranny flash i liked the way my tranny shifted before the flash, I dunno maybe the tranny needs to "learn" my driving style

I'm trying to figure out what the AU change actually does. Where can this info be found?

Problem that I see, is that there actually isn't a TSB out for the reflash ending in AU. You have to have the vehicle connected to the Starscan tool and the tool connected to Chrysler to find the update, and even then, it doesn't actually tell you "everything" that is changed.

Just to point something out quick, Yes the tranny needs to learn when and how to shift as it's computer controlled. If you always gun it from a stop the tranny will see that and go "ok fast, shift faster" then if you stop one day gunning it the tranny doesn't know it since you changed how you start and try shifting fast again. BTW this was how I was told the 68RFE works (laugh if you want ).

you're right I was there when the tech flashed the pcm and it had something to do with the regen I was looking at the starscan and that's all it said and the P/N of the flash ended in AU.

I will tell you what I heard. The AU (i just had done) is a temporary update or fix.

Supposedly CUMMINS will be recalling something (i do not know what) and this is definitely not a dodge issue but a cummins issue. There was a big meeting a couple of weeks ago and this was where the info. was passed on.

CumminS engineers are working the issue.

It was told trucks would not be bought back but a possible free oil changes for a period of time for new 6.7 owners that are having issues.

I just wanted to pass on this info. to allow others to look into it.

Hope this helps...

There is no stand alone trans controller the Cummins Engine controller does it all since 05.When you get the latest up date it supercedes all others and may or may not include changes made in between. The dealer is only suppsed to do a flash if you come in with a concern that is addressed by the tsb.........it is designed that way to prevent people from getting upset like you are now
